cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer. Though this percentage is less in
India than in other countries, but it is expected to grow faster. The main
reason for this is the changing lifestyle of people.

intake, unhealthy diet, alcohol, and physical inactivity are the main causes of
these growing diseases. Most of these diseases, i.e. 45% of the deaths are from
heart disease. After this, there are 22% deaths from swans disease, 12% for cancer

to save resources and to save people from powerful aristocracy.
Recently,
the Health Ministry has taken some steps to fight these non-communicable
diseases. In February this year, a free Door-to-Door screening program was
launched, in which people are screened and inquired about the diseases like
cancer, heart disease and diabetes. This program is aimed at reaching 200
districts by 2018.
The government has also created a scheme to open cancer
centers across the country. Under this 31 hospitals have been set up and the
target is to create 49 more hospitals till 2020.

to WHO (World Health Organization), sixty percent of deaths worldwide are
because of Non-Communicable disease solely. Also, it's found that disease is a
lot of wide spread in underdeveloped countries than developed countries.
Health
education and information regarding common NCD and communicable diseases are
however to be prompted among the Karen students. A broader and a lot of
comprehensive school-based health education strategy for bar of double burden
diseases would profit the rural minority population at the Thai-Myanmar border.
