Bob Gale nags at the Avengers Endgame time travel. He hits back to MCU stating that they do copy his time travel ideas from Back to the Future. He is the screenwriter for Back to the Future.

Avengers Endgame Time Travel

This is the reason why while convincing Tony Stark(Robert Downey Jr) to build the time machine, Scott Lang( Paul Rudd) mentions about Back to the Future. Even Hulk(Mark Ruffalo) while explaining the rules of the time heist to the other characters mentions it. Scott Lang has made his disappointment clear. The Back to the Future has framed its own rules, calling the movie “bullshit”.

Directors Were Mocked

Gale was with Anthony and Joe Russo, the Avengers: Endgame directors. Movie co-writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus were also there. They were there for Russo Bros.Pizza Film School episode of Back to the Future. He told them about how he felt about Endgame time travel. He mocked the directors of the Endgame. Despite them promising that the time heist will be different from the Back to the Future one, they ended with the same rules, the characters did return to their previous movies.

McFeely and Markus

McFeely and Markus defended themselves by saying that they just basically focused on Back to the Future II. Russos defended himself by saying that they obviously had to refer to the classic time travel. It is to suffice the audience as it is the way they view it. The conversation being sardonic is also shocking. Gale definitely knows much about the MCU! The writer 69 years old yet he shows he shows that he has in-depth knowledge about the new MCU movies.

Therefore, it is quite evident that he still appreciates the upcoming movies. It is good to see classic writers come forth and talk about their interests. A classic like Back to the Future has influenced all. It’s the choice of the directors whether to use the same rules of the time heist
