The first Captain Marvel movie was almost torn down by an unexplainable and targeted trolling campaign, and thus we believe there will be at least one big conspiracy theory making rounds in the near future that it was because of Brie Larson, Captain Marvel 2 has been rebranded as The Marvels. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has never been interested in numbered titles with the exceptions of the Iron Man trilogy and the Guardians of the Galaxy series. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Ant-Man and the Wasp have proved that not every follow-up has to be subtitled and separated by a colon.
Now that we know it is called Marvels, we have some idea about where the plot might head to. The first set of new inclusions confirmed for the pic were Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan and Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau, and also the ‘S’ from the new logo will look eerily familiar to fans of Ms. Marvel. Thus, it seems as though we’re getting a full-on team-up movie between the superpowered trio, and the fans are excited!

New announcements in the future
A potential conflict between Monica and Carol Danvers was already hinted at in Wanda Vision, we might get more information on this in Ms. Marvel, which will release on Disney+ later this year. As far as Marvels is concerned, the production is set to begin later this month. With no other cast member being announced apart from Vellani, Parris and Zawe Ashton’s mystery villain, and Larson, we are excited to get a bunch of new announcements regarding this project, in the future.
