Jim Parsons’ Dog Is the Reason for Saying Goodbye to Big Bang Theory’s Sheldon Cooper

Jim Parsons is known for portraying the popular character Sheldon Cooper in the TV series “The Big Bang Theory”. The actor has entertained the viewers for more than a decade. However, the end of the show and his role along with it was not less than heartbreak for his fans. Recently, the 47-year-old actor breaks his silence for leaving the show on David Tennant’s podcast.

The actor has portrayed the super-smart autistic genius and won millions of hearts with the nerd character. While Sheldon was all science and no emotions (though he expressed emotions on some rare occasions on the show). For playing Sheldon, Parsons won an Emmy award for his performance on the series. In fact, he has won the prestigious television award four times on the CBS “The Big Bang Theory”.

Why Jim Parsons said goodbye to Sheldon Cooper:

Lately, Parsons appeared on David Tennant’s podcast show, where he revealed the reasons for leaving the longest sitcom suddenly. He said the work pressure and personal incidents gave him the clarity to leave the hit show. According to many reports, Jim was probably working more than eight hours a day, every day to film season eleven. But the tragic death of his dog made him not to continue with The Big Bang Theory for season 13. Yes, you read it right! Parsons’ adorable dog was with him for 14 years fell ill when he was filming a commercial. This made him very weak and regrets not being with his beloved pet in his last breathe.

In addition to his dog’s death, Parsons’ age forced him to left the show all of sudden. He realized that he would be 46 by the end of the shoot. His father died at the age of 52, and this six-year difference led to his departure from the series. “I think there are other things I need to try and do. I don’t even know what they are, but I can tell you that I need to try. I had a feeling of there’s so much good going on here, so many people love it”
