X-Men: One New Mutant Had Easier Time Than Other Mutants During X Of Swords

While most of the X-Men seems not enjoying Marvel’s X of Swords crossover, there is one mutant for whom it’s all going great.

Many beloved X-men are asked to risk their lives in X of Swords, dueling with the sword bearers of Arakko for the survival of their motherland Karkoa and the entire Earth. However, X-Men are not having a great time but there is one mutant who is having an easier time than his mates.

Of all the fighters involved in X of Swords, Cypher is having an easier time while his teammates are risking their lives in bloodshed, even he tied marriage with an Arakko born wife.

Since the idea was presented, Cypher has been that cause of concern for all. The life of Cypher is really important for Krakoa as he is the only one who can communicate with the living island nation. With the strange elements of Otherworld keeping people from being properly revived by the Five on Krakoa if they’re killed, Cypher’s safety has never been so much of a priority.

In X of Swords crossover, he trained with Magnik to prepare himself for the battle and as a living sword be brought his mate Warlock with him. But Cypher always has that threat of battle on his head.

However, things went well with Cypher. Although he was the one who ate that poison that was planned for Wolverine. Cypher was saved by the intervention of the Arakko Swordbearers: Isca used her blade to give him a makeshift tracheotomy so he could breathe, while the White Sword utilized his healing powers to bring Cypher back from the brink of death.

Notably, the White sword can revive anyone who agrees to serve him. But just for the sake of his warriors and shady circumstances, White Sword forgives Cypher.

Cypher’s duel even turns out not to be a sword fight like he’d initially feared. Dragged off to receive ceremonial garb for a challenge in Excalibur #14, Cypher is shocked to discover that he won’t be fighting the deadly Bei of the Blood Moon. Instead, both of them are giving each other flowers as it turns out that Saturnyne’s challenge to them is to get tied in the knot of marriage.

Although he was not able to understand Bei, which genuinely intrigues the new mutant and attracted Cypher towards her. Surprisingly Bei seemed to share the same feeling for him and showed some romantic and dedicated vows during the ceremony. Both agree to the marriage, ensuring their kingdoms each receives a point in the tournament.
