The One Mutant Confirmed by Professor X to be Stronger Than Wolverine

Even Professor X must concede that Wolverine, who is undoubtedly his favorite X-Men member, is still not as tough as one other surprising member.

Since the beginning of his tenure with the X-Men, Wolverine has frequently been regarded as their most formidable member. His ferocious outbursts and devil-may-care, reckless demeanor were enough to maintain that reputation even now. But Rogue, according to Professor X, is at least one X-Man who is even more resilient than Wolverine.

Rogue is a mutant who has had trouble with daily tasks because she can, well, steal powers. Rogue has the power to absorb a person’s life energy, along with their memories, personality traits, and temporarily their powers, with just one touch. While it frequently offers her an advantage in battle, most notably in Rogue’s clash with Captain Marvel that defines her character, it makes establishing a life outside the X-Men much more challenging.

For this reason, Professor X says Rogue is more durable than Wolverine. In Xavier’s opinion, Rogue is tough because of everything she has to put up with on a daily basis, not because she is necessarily stronger (although that argument might be made). Professor X compliments Wolverine’s tenacity in the narration of Astonishing X-Men #1 (2017) by Charlie Soule and Jim Cheung, referring to him as “metal and stone.” The world breaks against him.” However, Professor X claims Rogue is “even stronger than Logan” just a few seconds later in the same breath. Again, in this situation, emotional and mental strength are more important than physical strength. “If he is stone, she is water,” Xavier says. “She changes constantly with everyone she touches. It is a confusing way to live.”

Why Professor X Thinks Rogue is Harder Than Wolverine

She basically has to adjust to herself every time she touches someone, in addition to having to force herself to adapt to being deprived of a regular existence. Her personality adapts to everyone she touches with each touch, and with each contact, her original personality either morphs into someone else’s or completely disappears. That’s so perplexing that even that would be an understatement. To say that Rogue’s powers make for a difficult life would be an understatement, but she persists in putting up with it while defending a planet that despises her because she is a mutant.

Both Wolverine and Rogue experienced enough hardship to give them a hard edge or make everyday tasks unbearably difficult. This makes them similar in many ways. However, it is in recognizing and appreciating their commonalities that it becomes clear why Professor X thinks Rogue is the more formidable of the two. Wolverine, who has gone through so much in life, wears his toughness on his sleeve, but Rogue doesn’t display her struggles as openly, or at least not in a way that is visible. Wolverine is harsh and rugged, and as a result of this, he has a history of distancing himself from other people in order to pursue solo adventures. Rogue, on the other hand, frequently masks any discomfort or difficulties she may be experiencing with a smile and a mood that is comparable to upbeat, which shows exactly how successfully she has handled those same difficulties.

At the very least, everyone ought to concur with Professor X that Wolverine and Rogue are by far the toughest X-Men.
