Netflix’s famous show ‘The Witcher’ is returning with another season and here is all you need to know about it.
The Witcher recently launched the trailer of its 2nd second and the 1st look of Henry Cavill returning as Geralt of Rivia. The series is based on the novels written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski and is based on Geralt who is the front and center character of the novel (and the show as well)and is traveling around the Continent and is facing supernatural forces. With the show receiving poor movie and TV adaptations and not being very popular in the home country, Netflix grabbed the opportunity and started working initially on movies (later converted into a series).
The series gathered more popularity as soon as Henry joined the star cast in 2018 and then the series hit the floor in late 2019 and has been a fan favorite ever since. The OTT platform quickly ordered for a season 2 along with some spinoff and prequels like Nightmare of the Wolf and Blood Origin. Due to the present situation of COVID-19 and Henry’s on-set injury, it got delayed a bit but is finally back on its track and Netflix is creating a lot of hype before its release.
PLOT OF THE WITCHER SEASON 2
Fans are delighted to see Henry Cavill back as Geralt and their excitement is hard to contain. With the teaser not showing much detail as to what would be the plot, maker Lauren Schmidt Hissrich revealed that the characters will have a lot of interaction in season 2 as compared to season 1. Now that the fans know about the characters and kingdoms, the main storyline is expected to start surfacing.
With that being revealed fans still have a lot to learn about The Witcher and all that it holds to offer. But for fans, a sigh of relief comes with the very special WitcherCon event that’s being hosted by Netflix and CD Projekt Red in July. Those who have followed both paths will learn a lot more about the storyline and plot of the show in the event. Season 2 is likely to be released towards the later part of 2021.
