There is nothing more comforting than laying on your couch with some popcorn and coke and bingeing a comfortable, simple Netflix series and being all happy and peaceful. Virgin River exactly fits that’s criteria because the show has been loved by fans from the very beginning. The charming Mel, smart Jack, gloomy Mullins, and erratic Hope, making it a wonderful TV series to watch.

DAN BRADY

Lot of arrogance and being very unthankful were some of the basic traits of Dan’s character. He was an amazing liar and wasn’t even truthful and grateful to the one man trying to support him. Jack was always so helpful, offering him tons of chances after his as a Marine, but he just wanted to go for the easy way and decided to enter the business of drug dealing.

CHARMAINE ROBERTS

Jack’s fling with Charmaine especially after the entry of Mel was one of the most irritating things about the show and resulted in the unlikability of Charmaine. Initially, it felt like she was fighting for Jack’s undivided attention but when that turned into constant hostility for Mel that becomes irritating. Throughout her pregnancy too, she was aggressive and was deliberately trying to rope in Jack for odd jobs and snap back at Mel even though she was trying to help.

HOPE McCREA

Though she claims to be caring for the people of the town, it certainly seems like she is a bit biased in that regard. She was always trying to look out for her friends and the best of all her nagging nature and refusing to learn anything from her mistakes was not liked by the audience. Also, her childish act of trying to set up Doc and Muriel seemed unnecessary.

PAGE LASSITER

Page had a calamitous past and that never really left her side so that drag on from the past was a bit too much. The reason why she did what she did was for her season and in season 2 after killing her ex-husband, she takes her son and moves away for good.

MARK MONROE

Mel’s late husband who died in a car crash is always seen in the flashback scenes. It is very clear that he loved Mel a lot and helped her while they lost their baby. He was kind and a very great doctor and just because he was dead, we couldn’t see him as a 1-D caricature.

DOC MULLINS

Early in the show, he seemed to be an antagonist. He didn’t like Mel, did not trust her expertise, and was moving angrily here and there. But slowly fans realized that all this was because he didn’t like being old. His helping nature and his devotion towards Hope is worth being liked.
