A Day In The Mystical Life Turned Marvel Hero Into An Elder God

In the latest adventure of ‘A Day in the Mystical Life’, an old hero just got the power of an Elder God.

‘A Day in the Mystical Life’ by Gene Ha and Zander Cannon reveals the powers of a rather shadowed Marvel hero. Wong has always been seen as Doctor Strange‘s sidekick and the latest issue ’A Day in the Mystical Life’ depicts a story to completely change everyone’s perspective.

The story starts quite usual and normal where Wong is manning the Magical distress Channel while enjoying a pleasant afternoon. Suddenly he receives a message from a realm by the name Qezbulon, along the Red Rift. The Sorcerer has never heard of such a place or anything about it. He and the Avengers are busy defending against some techno-magical invaders, but this mystic message drags him to make a decision to go.

He soon finds out the source of this message to be a tech Mogul named Alexander Orlok. His intern Ziigwan was the one helping him out to spread his company. His evil plans are to store a spell’s word and redirect it louder and faster making it more efficient and stronger. Wong found this very intriguing but he had to do something to stop before it explodes to be a big mess. Ziigwan is rather inexperienced and could only use magic to redirect energy.

Orlok is very hard on her and is engrossed in his own plans to gain control. When Wong tried to get them out as they neared the portal to Earth, they revealed that the real reason to get Wong in their world was to use his time-traveling powers. He had plans to control the stock market and build an army. It is quite predictable how destructive a magic-powered army could be. The abuses on Ziigwan finally went too far and she channeled Elder God’s magic to Wong rather than Orlok’s tech. Wong wisely uses his powers to wipe five months of Orlok’s memory which includes all the knowledge of magic.

A Day In The Mystical Life MCU Wong

‘A Day in the Mystical Life’ paints a strong confident and wisely-like image of Wong. In spite of her betrayal, Wong still hires Ziigwan and giver her a basic job to man the magical distress channel. Simple, low risk, and quite a learning curve. Doctor returns and tells Wong that the army they were fighting was suddenly washed from existence. While Wong never took credit, he was still bestowed with the powers of an Elder God and he did the job perfectly well. Wong is a shadowed but still a very important character in Marvel and that is made clear in ‘A Day in the Mystical Life’.
