Black Widow Phase 2

Imagine The Consequences If Black Widow Would Have Released In Phase 2

Though Black Widow was set in phase 3, it was finally released in phase 4. But just imagine how things would have panned out had it been released in phase 2?

The movie is set around the timeline of phase 3 of MCU but just imagine what would have happened had it been released in phase 2, it surely would have impacted the course of Marvel Cinematic Universe. The storyline revolves around Captain America: Civil War and though fans have waited for a very long time for this solo movie of Natasha Romanoff to release, they are wondering what would have happened had it actually been released in the 2nd phase of MCU. Though Natasha had briefly discussed her life before joining S.H.I.E.L.D and the story of Red Room fans obviously wanted to know full details about the topic and therefore desperately wanted this solo movie of Natasha Romanoff.

Black Widow is the 1st movie to release in phase 4 of MCU, following the release of some of MCU’s TV shows like ‘Wanda Vision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki’. Natasha Romanoff has always been a part of one or the other movie in every phase of MCU and has appeared in a total of 9 movies before finally getting a solo movie for herself. The movie also introduces a lot of new faces to the Marvel Universe like “Red Guardian, Melina, Yelena, Taskmaster, and Dreykov”. Though the makers managed to somehow not disrupt the plot of the Marvel timeline, they introduced some new characters during the same timeline which is also a cause for concern.

IF IT WOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED IN PHASE 2…!!

Of all the Avengers there are, only Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) and Hawkeye (Clint Barton) are the ones who haven’t received a solo movie yet. If Marvel would have listened to the demands of fans and made a female-led movie in phase 2 of their timeline things certainly would have been very different. If Black Widow took place before the ‘Sokovia Accords’ came into effect, makers still could have managed to narrate Natasha’s story of the earlier days and all about Red Room. But how it would have affected the timeline is because it wouldn’t have been a solo movie then, following the entry of some other stars. Back then at the beginning of phase 3, Hawkeye had taken a vacation to be with his family and so if it would have released in phase 2, the bond of Romanoff and Barton would have strengthened and maybe Natasha would have accepted her family a bit more.

Black Widow MCU

The movie also shows that the other characters who appeared in the movie have been in the very same place for years so had it been a phase 2 movie, they would have definitely appeared in Captain America: Winter Soldier too because this one is not just about Captain America but also heavily focuses on Black Widow. Maybe there would have been an appearance or two from “Red Guardian” because of his knowledge about the Russian spies and super soldiers.

Romanoff also appeared in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ in the 2nd phase and while the plot of this one would hardly have been affected by Black Widow, the character of Natasha and her bond with Hulk would have been somewhat different.  Her choice to transform Bruce into Hulk is purely based on the fact that the mission is the ‘ultimate priority’. But if Black Widow would have released she would have started valuing her relationship over these things and therefore she would have gone with a different decision.

Well, for what’s it worth, Black Widow is finally out in theaters and also on Disney + Hotstar so take full-on enjoyment and have full fun watching the movie.
