Season 5 of Stranger Things will begin filming this summer

David Harbour, the star of Stranger Things, nonchalantly says that the fifth and final season will start production this summer.

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things, according to star David Harbour, will start shooting this summer.

At the Middle East Cinema & Comic Expo, Harbour confirmed the information, according to Collider. We’re entering Season 5 now, he declared. “I still have a few months to train. However, it will be the final season, and production on it begins in June. In addition, Harbour gave viewers a preview of what they may anticipate from Detective Jim Hopper in the forthcoming fifth season. For Season 4, I put in a lot of training, and he continued. “He [Hopper] was in a very specific position, that Russian prison. It was about making him a different guy and sort of shedding a layer of himself physically, mentally, and emotionally. But now he’s back in town, he’s back in America where they have cheeseburgers, so he will be well-fed.”

Since Stranger Things 2016 premiere, Harbour has played Jim Hopper, and he and the rest of the original ensemble cast have remained with the series for the duration. In 2022, Harbour discussed how he would manage the demanding production schedule that would occur between the conclusion of Stranger Things and Thunderbolts, a film from Marvel Studios in which he will resume his role as Red Guardian in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “It’s going to be crazy,” he noted. “It’s going to have to be a back-and-forth with me. They’re going to have to sort of share me. And so it is kind of like, I don’t know exactly how they’re working it, but it’s a week on, week off, two weeks on, two weeks off, something like that where I would go back and forth.”

Season 5 of Stranger Things is coming soon

While Harbour has confirmed the production schedule for Season 5, Finn Wolfhard, another stalwart of the series, appears to have guaranteed its February release date. In a conversation, Wolfhard said that “I believe that [Stranger Things Season 5] will be released when I am 22 years old. I began working on the series when I was 12 years old. That’s crazy.” This would allow the fifth season to be released in 2025.

This happened just one month after Wolfhard shared his opinions on the series’ future in an open forum. “If Stranger Things went on any longer than five [seasons], I would say it would be ridiculous,” he said. “I think the Duffer brothers figured out, I would imagine, a perfect ending in five. We didn’t even know if we’d do two. So, we’re happy that people still are around and want to watch it.”

Stranger Things will conclude after Season 5, which has sparked a tonne of conjecture about prospective spinoff shows. The Stranger Things writers’ room recently debunked a rumor that an Eleven-focused spinoff series was in the works by simply writing “[n]ot true” next to the assertion. Source: Collider
