Marvel Comics Confirms Vision Is Dumb

Isn’t it ironic how the smartest being on the planet can be powerless against something as simple as a door?

The Vision is a synthezoid made from vibranium. This techno-organic hero is also among the smartest beings on Earth. Having a literal supercomputer for a brain sure comes in handy in devising strategies against nefarious villains but even supercomputers have their limitations. Apparently, our super bot hero still hasn’t figured out how doors actually work. Taking of the subject, the MCU fans would remember the beginning of Captain America: Civil War wheres similar thing was witnessed.

Vision's Intelligence

During the beginning of Captain America: Civil War when the Avengers’ mission had failed and the bomb went off in Lagos, killing numerous Wakandans in the process, Captain America can be seen comforting Wanda Maximoff in her room about how it wasn’t her fault. Amidst their conversation, Vision enters the room by phasing through a wall alarming the others.

After Wanda scolds him for doing so, Vision states “Yes, but the door was open so I assumed that…” meaning that he doesn’t fully understand how doors work. Wanda’s comment “Vis! We talked about this”, also suggests that this had been happening for quite some time. Vision had a lot of cool superpowers like super strength, flight, super-intellect, laser beams, phasing, and an infinity stone as a battery. He was literally unstoppable but who would have that the all-powerful vision cannot understand the concept of doors. Apparently, in the world of Marvel comics, Vision still hasn’t figured out what doors are for.

Vision Breaks The Wall In Captain America Civil War

Vision And Doors

The Champions #7, writer by Danny Lore and with art by Luciano Vecchio and Federico Blee, a team of young heroes go up against Roxxon, a company that has been protesting against underage crime fighters. Roxxon released a brand new social media app for teens but the Champions smell something fishy in their play. In order to uncover, Roxxon’s true intentions, the Champions sent Spider-Man and Nova as undercover interns to infiltrate and bust Roxxon’s corporation. Meanwhile, Riri Williams and Viv Vision, being the most capable tech experts, are trying to reverse engineer the app and find out what Roxxon is truly after.

Vision and Door concept in Marvel Comics

While they are engaged in work, Vision constantly keeps popping out of the wall asking if they need any food. Although this is a very kind gesture but is also kinda disturbing for the duo as they are constantly being interrupted. Being a synthezoid, Vision is literally the fastest computer on Earth but on the contrary, his human side is not too well developed. He is like a kid who cannot understand the concept of doors and goes on to ignore them and use his phasing powers to move across rooms. This may be disturbing for his fellow heroes, but for the readers, it’s cute in its own little way.
