The Bold Type: Storyline

The show is based on the story of three best friends and how they tackle life and everything that comes with it. The fun, drama, adventure, romance, and troubles are handled together and beautifully when friends are there to support and it’s exactly what makes this one so special. Three friends Jane, Sutton, and Kat, have very diverse personalities but ended up becoming friends. They work for the same magazine company ‘SCARLET’ but with different job descriptions.

Jane (Katie Stevens), Sutton (Meghann Fahy), and Kat (Aisha Dee) all met while working for a famous magazine ‘SCARLET’ run by Jacquline (Melora Hardin). While Jane is a writer for the magazine, Sutton is a personal assistant and Kat is the company’s social media head. But that’s not what binds them, it’s their love for one another and the feeling of comfort you have when you are surrounded by friends. The show moves around their lives and all the ups and downs, personally and professionally they face but they keep on being there for one another. Millennial’s love the series because it’s filled with a young cast. They can relate to it and is very vibrant and sassy altogether.

The Bold Type Season 5 Review

The Bold Type: Till Now

Towards the end of last season, the show ended on a whirlwind of emotions where the girls were drinking their sorrows away. It actually just feels like yesterday when Sutton said YES to Richard Hunter (and they married (season 4, episode 10) but just towards the end of season 4 they end their marriage following a conflict where or not they should have children. Jane, on the other hand, admitted that she has feelings for her employee Mat Vairo but it would be baffling to see her romancing with her colleague. Kat’s story ended where she launched her podcast and is struggling a bit with her sexual life.

Towards the end of the episode, they gather in Jane’s apartment and start drinking to ease off their pain and discuss their tragedies. Season 4 ended with 2 episodes short because of the pandemic but the gang is back with a bang.

The Bold Type Season 5

With the final season being announced, it’s hard for fans to contain their excitement. The show aired on 26th May on Freeform. This season is supposed to have only 6 episodes. There are still some questions left unanswered. What’s to be concluded of the relationship between Sutton and Richard? Maybe they just hit a roadblock and might be back in Season 5 (Fingers crossed). As for Jane, she might be busy exploring what it actually means to run her own vertical and the problems it brings along. The fans are also interested in knowing whether or not she is going upfront for her colleague’s feelings. As far as Kat is concerned, we might see Adena back in her life and with the podcast and everything, it would be good to know what happens for her on the work front.
